I presume you mean reg yer 54 not 1954??

Surely your vehicle is under warrenty???

What probs you had then?

reg 54
still underwarrenty yea but the dealers are c**ks

so far its had the rear diff replaced 20 000
transfer box 26 000
battery was spewing acid out so its had a partial respray and the outside paint work aint very good its got patches all over it

not happy and its under a year old lots of motorway work doing a good 1000 a week just now currently got 27800 on the clock

I used to work in customer services for a major german motor manufacturer.

The advice I would give you, is to get in contact with customer services for the factory, explain your gripe with the dealers, explain you are not happy with the workmanship and insist on a new vehicle as it is not living up to your expectations and the core values that land rover stand for!

Give this a go. I frequently used to come accross sub standard dealers, if they get pressure from the factory, they usually s**t themselves and get your work done.

Hope this helps

Nice to see i'm not the only one suffering with dealership problems. I have a 2003 110 TD5 in Oslo Blue on which the paint is peeling off but still under warranty. I got nowhere easliy with the dealership until I got to the authorised bodyshop directly who are very keen to follow it up. I now have a quote and await an inspection from Land Rover directly where I will air my views of my local dealership.

It looks like a full rub down and re-spray and 3 weeks in the body shop anyone else having troubles with original paint jobs?

We have had 2 new clutch master cylinders in the last 4 months on a vehicle with only 26000 miles on the clock (110 defender station wagon TD5). We had a bit of a battle with warranty from the dealership. Dealt with Land Rover Warranty direct - much better.

They wouldn't let me keep failed clutch cylinders for me to refurbish for my series 3 (same part) and so on that basis I said it was a warranty repair if they wanted to keep part. If I paid, i wanted the part.

My series 3 has done almost 70K (ex MOD - who knows what the milage is), sat in a field abandoned and out of use for 5 years before I bought it it clutch cylinder still OK.
