L lynall Well-Known Member Full Member Feb 12, 2021 #3 Manual gearbox quite normal if oil not been changed in a long time, auto box start worrying! Auto tranns tend to have magnets sititng in the bottom of the sump, normally coated in fine grey sludge.

JUKE179r Well-Known Member Feb 12, 2021 #4 Those magnets work well. I’ve installed one in my Thor V8 oil sump to replace the old drain plug.
