G'Day folks,

Considering that I live around t'other side of the world, pretty much the main 'contact' I have had with the Landy World has been through magazines, particularly one dedicated to 'Owners' of Land Rovers, (without mentioning names!!)

I have become increasingly dissapointed on two counts, one I am sure that you will share, one maybe not!!.

My greatest dissapointment is in the alarming decrease in the number of Series articles and pictures of late, we seem to be a dwindling bunch!! Am I alone in believing that Land Rover was 'built' upon the reputation earned by the 1, 2, 2a and 3???? - Sure, all things that have followed have been remarkable vehicles, but to me personally, SERIES is what is quintisentially Land Rover.

My second 'whinge', which is rather selfish, is that ALL the magazines I read seem to be at least 60% advertisements, (which I suppose is fine if they are relevant , and they probably are to 99% of readers, but not O/Seas ones like me as I can't afford the freight costs!!!) I want more pictures and articles!! Surely it can't be a cost thing? because they are all bloomin' expensive anyway! I mean don't get me wrong, I do enjoy reading about Defenders and Disco's etc etc, but I prefer Series of course!

I look back 5 - 10 years and Series was still king of the LRV print media....
what happened??

What in your opinions, is/are the best/most Series conscious of the major magazines?

Cheers,

Kris

i subscribed to 2 magazines for the first time this year AND WT A WASTE OF MONEY THAT WAS!!

They are all about defenders and discos i agree and also i agree that all adverts are about unneccessary things on landys!! not brake and exhaust parts but Bull Bars and lights!! huh wt is this world cumin to

ffs what der yer need a magazeen fur when you've got landyzone?
and it's free!

The only way to make any of them readable is to put them in the loo....amazing how interesting an article on the developement of freelanders seat belt catch for the american market can be when your sat there.

Papers a bit too shiny tho....
