Hi all, I am having problems with my trusty steed,
My 98 4.6 HSE auto has developed what seems to be a misfire under hard acceleration, It starts and drives as normal but when you floor the pedal at say 50-60 mph it drops down a gear starts to take off then basically feels like its stalling once i back of the pedal it changes up and drives as normal. I have however read a few posts regarding MAF sensor issues and have disconnected it whilst having the missus keeping the revs up, it is now disconnected and starts and runs ok without it connected and performs exactly the same. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as i am planning on driving to the west country in a few weeks and would like to get the issue resolved before i go.
