Time to do the chains and vanos on the old girl......

More will be posted about that later but thought I would quickly share my vid with you on removing the Crank bolt without the pulley holding tool.....

I saw this method yesterday on the tube of you and thought what a fecking good idea.....saves the cost of the tool if you have a bit of chain and a hook. I am sure even if you don't you can rig up something similar.....boom, brilliant.

I used that Vid when i rebuilt the Vanos on my customers "now mine" L322

Saved the cost of the tool....

nice vid.

I'd be worried about the chain pulling the crank end out of line.
The bar creates torsion but the chain technically pulls down on the crank end.
Is it not possible to lift the rad and get in under.
Thanks for sharing big guy. ;)
Whisper whisper.... :p
