Hi guys

Been meaning to join for ages

On a drive to Suffolk on Friday the Disco let the side down on the M11, my Dad was overtaking a lorry on the flat and the car kicked down and the lights came on. Pulled over switched off, restarted it and off we go, 10 mins later same thing.

We've owned this car 8 years and it's had 3 XY switches and we've re routed the air con drain pipe.

Car in question is a 54 plate TD5 Landmark with 139000 miles on the clock.

Any ideas greatly appreciated

Brad

hi, the best way is to read the fault code...if it's still something related to XYZ switch it might be the piece of loom which connects the switch to the EAT ECU as it used to get chaffed above the gearbox..provided the last switch of those 3 you've replaced was new not used...co if you speak about used switches then there's no warranty... but there might be some other thing too cos there are 15 other reasons for the flashing M + S... has it gone to limp mode too or just the warnings?

This happened to me and I was advised to change the battery which I did and hey it hasn't happened since.
