OK today I went to buy what I thought was a Nanocom from a mate, turns out it was a Lynx, I think you guys would call it a Legacy ?

He has let me take it on Sale or Return basis, research shows it should program BCM, which is what i need :) I didn't get laptop so I've a fresh install of W7 Pro, on a D630 Dell 2Ghz and 3Gb Ram with a 250Gb HDD, and now I have installed Lynx software so far so good.

I'm a bit of a numpty when it comes to installs and the instructions aren't mega clear lol.

I've installed the Software and currently it is at the 50 minute stage updating the VCI Configuration , so i got a few minutes and a question that a quick search hasn't provided the answer to ...................

When it finishes the VCI I then have a HOME unlock code plus 2 further Models to unlock ...................

Am I correct thinking I enter the Home Unlock first ???

Will it prompt me or do i have to find where to put these from a Menu drop down, is it obvious etc etc ???

After that there are 2 more models to unlock, he's an old guy his memory isn't good but he thinks one of the 3 is a D2, which I hope so, or if not I hope I can still buy the D2 one, as the Lynx will be cheap as in do him a Car repair or 2 type favour ;)

Cancel the questions lol

I've got it working and communicating with my D2, perfect.

I am only seeing 2 Vehicles, Discovery 2 and RR Sport, but my buddy said it had L322 so likely I need to add the Activation code, haven't found out how, not really bothered as I don't have an L322 ;)

Hungry and tired, I can have a good fiddle with this tomorrow, time to go in now.

I am pant's with installs, shame the instruction booklet was woeful ;)

Diagnostics with Dealer Level Machines on other Marques is my core business so I should have no issue at all using it. It is communicating fine with my D2, I got into the motor ecu and got some data, it can also program Immo etc so jobs a good 'un :)

I need feeding .................. Over and out for now, from what I've seen so far it looks to be a good machine ;)
