Hi all

Searched the forum but couldn't find anything on this, may be me though.....

Weighing up installing an LS3 over a RV8 into my 93 RR Classic. I know the cost of an LS3 engine and box but how much power and at what cost could I expect from the RV8 pls?

Also is anyone out there selling the engine mounts and adapter kits for the LS engine?

TIA

Well. All I can say is hope you not wanting it cheap?:)

Bit of info here https://www.marks4wd.com/landrover-engine-conversions

There’s also plenty of guys in the U.K. if you search.

It’s a brave and expensive project:). Have you thought about engine management, and the rest of the driveline holding up?

We have a 630R which is borderline for the rest of the Rover drive line, that’s an old fashioned big block. Not the newer LS, so you mention gearbox, which one?

There’s a lot to it than just bunging a big engine in, but it’s been done so can be, don’t be put off just be prepared for extras:D

Thanks for the response. Yes I am prepared to spend on this one :)

I have to say searching in the UK for suppliers of adaptors/mounts has left me empty handed.

If I did go LS3 it would be the 6L80 6 speed auto. You can get an ecu controller for partsworld performance in the UK.

For either build i was going to get uprated transfer case, prop/driveshafts, brakes and lowered uprated sripngs to keep it on the road!

Ok if you are prepared for the cost, it’s all doable and available.

The OF runs Omex ecu might be worth a look.

Good luck.

A stock LS3 will put out more power and torque than a maxed out Rover V8

Go Chevy and don't look back..:D
