Ive got a 80 ltr gas tank on my Treg 3.9 v8.what is the average mileage i should expect to get from a full tank?

Its a 80 ltr tank, but the maximum we can get in it is around 55ltrs.I was talking to someone today and the seem to think i should be getting more around the 200 mile.

From empty to full you should be getting around 20% less than your tank, are you running it completely empty?? I get around 54ltrs in my 67ltr tank and if I drive it gentle I get around 170 miles running round town. On a run I get 250-270 keeping it around 65mph which surprises me too. I let mine run on petrol for the first 1-2miles when the engine hasn't been run for a couple of hours. Mines a 95 3.9V8i Auto and at 50p a ltr its pretty cheap to run for the size of it I find.

Thanks for the reply, ive just had it serviced and had a new regulator fitted as the old one was not working properly.i also had a leak from one of the pipes which cut me down to 90 mls on a full tank.Ive just filled up yesterday so i will see how many miles i get from a full tank now.

where are you getting lpg at 50p /ltr

his local lpg filling station maybe

there is a place near me in stockton-on-tees that sells it for 50p a litre but if you buy 20 litres or more you get 1p off a litre next time (up to 10p off a litre max). Worked out pretty cheap when i had the rr averaging 45p a litre :)

I'd like to know that too!

Back on topic......
The indicator lights on LPG switches are notoriously unreliable. Also you will get a different fill level at different garages and times. You can only get a true measure by averaging out over a period of time.

where about is it???

I have two 30l tanks so I get about 54l and get 180miles return :)

Think its an Esso garage (petrol & Diesel pretty expensive mind) on Yarm road opposite the Citroen garage.

from the A66 head for yarm/eaglescliffe and its on the right hand side :)

cool will give it a try paying 61p at the mo:)

With an 80 litre tank you should get 64 litre fill. on my 4.2 LSE that would take me approximately 200 miles (average driving). As said the only way to calculate is to let the tank run dry - refill - and drive until empty again. LPG guages only give an approximation but if you zero the trip recorder at every fill you can guage how much gas you have left

Mine is the same squeeze about 65l into twin 40l tanks and anywhere from 170-210 depending on what i'm doing (D2 4.0)
