A bit of advice please.

Bought a petrol Vogue last week with LPG. The tank capacity is 95 litres. It has a BRC lpg system c2008. The level went down to one green light on the LPG control switch (a quarter full) so I filled the tank with 45 litres of gas. As the last bit went in, the pump shut off. I assume this was because the tank had reached its capacity.

On driving home, all 4 green level lights were flashing. The car was running fine on gas, does this mean the tank is full or is it over full. Unfortunately I didnt get any instructions with the car.

Many thanks in anticipation.

i never worry about the light on the lpg, they are only a guide and not as accurate as a petrol gauge. i usually refill my lpg tank after 150 miles or so.

You cannot over fill the tank, so do not worry about that, as for assuming the LEDs show quarter, half etc. it does not work like a liquid fuel tank, as it works on pressure you will probably find that by the time you get to one LED showing you are almost empty... LOL

At least that is what it is like with mine.

Check out Go-Autogas - LPG Station Map with Refuelling Garages on Map with LPG Prices and Sat Nav Download they can save you lots of money on the best places to buy fuel.

Well I get about 180 miles on a tank and normally put about 70 ish litres per fill up as for lights ignore them is my advice - mine go out approx 30 miles first then 30 30 30 then 60 on the red all rough figures

you will find that the lights mean nothing, i can set mine to empty when its actually full. but the fact that its not reading remotely accurate could signify that the ecu needs looking at, its not faulty but sometimes the settings need adjusting.

it may need a service and setup but you would be best advised to research and learn the stuff you need to because i have found lpg support to be very vague at its best. you can buy a cable to plug into your laptop and can set it all up yourself. if you want to know more go to the lpg forum(google) and theres loads of knowledge but its all easy stuff once you get your head round it!!

Thanks for all your help, lights have stopped flashing now and its running normally.
normally if all lights flash the lpg ecu has detected a fault
if its a 2008 install i would expect it to be a sequential multi point injection??
maybe switching of the ignition and back on may clear the fault :):)
