Yes 100%. Everything else is dry as a bone. Only wet from where the pin meets the swivel pin down.
Do you suggest gasket, silicone or both?

gasket unless you can ensure no oil/grease leaks out which would spoil silicone sealing as surfaces must be oil free for it to work
