Ok you maybe lucky if it’s a main dealer key. You never said that you said flea bay
It should sync up ok it’s as long as it’s key 4 for your car the blade should already be cut to fit.
Sync as per owners handbook.
Key 4 may not give all the other key perks if I remember.
Oh please get rid of your address from the pic
Good luck
ok,
Thanks for the advice.
p.s. I 'm off to Sozopol on holiday soon.
Welcome to the forum
unless the key came from the dealer all programmed to you vin number details its a no go
they can only come direct from Huff the original makes pre programmed to your details.
You can get the blade cut from any good locksmith. Well know Range Rover forum member Marty will soon sell keys I hear, so here is the future solution.
Main dealers in the US and Central america don't sell keys now so forget theat. Even Bearmach can't order them now.
But, you can happily live without a working remote in a p38, did so myself for 6 years. Disable the alarm and immobilizer and make sure your door locks ( also sold by Marty) work perfectly. Then you can always mobilise it using EKA if it suffers from Alzheimer. Set your EKA to something nice, I tend to ask clients what they would like and it will always start.
£200 new key arrived fron Huf via main dealer - guess what - does not fit the door lock or ignition lock so cannot be synchronised either - I give up
hi,So can we recap a bit here.
You have 1 key from flea bay ordered on your VIN that don’t work.
You now have 1 more key from Huff ordered on your VIN that don’t work.
Do the two new keys have the same blade, look close?
Has the BECM,ECU or lockset been replaced at some point in its history?
Get a blank cut to the original and try sync with new fobs.
Do you have barcode labels on both new keys? If yes then I suggest you speak to @martyuk
You maybe out of action for a while but it will be a good ending.
Get 2 more blades cut and you will end up with 3 working keys.
Good luck.
