Just got in from breaking down - teaming down with rain another landy went past me through a puddle and soaked the front of the car, the car then lost power, having been a little sluggish for about 5 miles, and the engine cut out - managed to bump start it to keep it going but then went very sluggish again for about 2 miles, temperature gauge shot up, then cut out and would not start. Pulled over and found that there was not a drop of water in the radiator. Would a combination of the excess water from the other landy and the lack of water in the radiator cause this?? or could it be something more sinister??

you dont mention what engine you have , im guessing its a petrol,? they have a history of overheating, headgasket failures are common
