Just replaced both rear hubs, but one of the wheel studs seems to be loose. I can tighten the nut pretty well, but before the torque wrench clicks, it just keeps turning and turning.

So, assuming I can get the wheel off, what do I do to fix that? Take it somewhere to be welded?

tnx

is it a pressed in stud? check and see if it didnt get knocked back a bit. they do make over sized press in studs. Just make sure the threads are good. you can always draw it up tight and put a bit of weld on it

Dont know on a rr but they are easy on a mondeo and would imagine there not much different
Just push in from behind and pull in on a spline by tightening a wheel bolt onto it

It is pushed in flat, same as the others. So I guess the spline/thread/whatever must be miss-made. It's tight enough for now.

Will I be able to get someone to spot weld it without taking the hub off? Will the heat be so localised that it won't damage anything?

tnx

ask the welder, not enough heat to worry
