Hi, I'm new here and I see there was a thread about this back in 2011 but It didn't really answer my query so I hope someone can help me, I have a problem with my 1.8 petrol 2004 3dr freelander first gear is now selected when the lever is somewhere in the passenger foot well and I can't get it into reverse as the lever would have to be put somewhere between my legs and under the drivers seat!

My problem is that being semi disabled :crutch: I'm going to have to get a garage to fix it, can anyone recommend one in the battersea,: sw london area that know freelanders and won't rip me off, How long should it take to fix?
