If you don't know Landy's take someone with you who really does. Not someone who can have a poke about and say 'it looks OK' - someone who knows Landy's. It's very easy indeed to buy a pup, even with your budget....

What do you mean by weekend fun? If it's anything likely to cause damage you're wasting your money spending all your budget.
Age and year is nothing to do with it fella - it's all about condition. If you don't know what to look for when buying a Defender you'll buy the first shiny turd you see.
