Searching the web... Jason barlow joined in 2000. They're showing the v6 so this would have made it after late 2000 when the v6/Td4 came out. Ford announced the purchase of LR in march 2000, with the sale completing 3 months later. The presenter refers to the time being 6 months after this. So the episode must be very late 2000 or shortly after in 2001. Old top gear stopped in October 2001.

interesting to see the v6 w87goc had it's last mot in march 2014 at 108,059 miles
the Td4 w93goc may still be on the road at 168,731 miles when last mot's in june 2016
