Dear all,

Hello everyone! I am Cecilia , I drive a very boring car at the moment which spends more time with my mechanic than it does with me. In desperation, I decided to look into other options available to me. So off we went to a garage to look for a suitable car, the sort that are available to all, not very impressive.

I grew up in Kenya, and a Land Rover was part of the whole environment, and I thought about the idea. We looked up options available on the website, looked at pictures, etc etc. but it is confusing.

What I do know is what I want. I would love a landrover that is reliable, that starts. In return, I am prepared to look after the day to day bits, I dont mind checking the oil every week etc, but I do want something that works, everyday. Is it too much to ask that it should be around the 2 - 3K mark?

What I would really appreciate is some advice on what type of vehicle would be reliable, might be the sort you could take on a day out in the mud, but also starts everytime for work. I would be so grateful for your thoughts on this. very best wishes, Cecilia

well it depends how how reliable, and how much you are prepared to fix it. will u be using it on a farm for example? will you be driving it only "on road" etc... landrovers do need maintenance, that is for sure, and unfortunately (more often then not) it is more then just an oil check. but these cars have such charachter, and are the best thing with 4 wheels (have seen some with 6)!!
