Ex-offroader

New Member
Good evening all.

I am on here looking for my first love, I wonder if anyone could help.

We met a good few years ago now, lived happily together, went everywhere together and then unfortunately, as sometimes happens, I got divorced.

Due to unforseen circumstances beyond my control I lost job, then my wife, then house. The last thing to go was my ever so much loved Landy.

I am now back up and running, nearly hitting my mid life crisis so have decided to pursue her once again.

If anyone can point me in the right direction to maybe discovering her whereabouts, I am looking to relight our fire.

She was born in 89, is a cream/white 90 and goes by the licence F337RBJ.

Any help really appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.
Not been taxed or mot'd for 2 and a half years and had a very chequered mot history so maybe it's no longer in one piece. There will be peeps on here who can look into it more for you. Good luck, but it might be worth you looking for a replacement project instead.

NorfolkBird,
Thank you very much for your welcome, much appreciated.
I did see she failed badly, and then pass a few days later, which would not have been a cheap fix, that lead me to think that someone cared for her but maybe was only using her offroad.
Hicap Phill,
I know what they say, but you never forget who took your virginity.
I might have some photos on a hdd somewhere

Hi Kermit_rr,
Thanks for the welcome.
I've always fancied the older lady, I know what you are saying about the younger models, saw a sexy one on ebay yesterday, really cheap too, London area, not on there this morning .
Have a really low budget unfortunately but am trying to settle down again.

Turboman,
It's not about the money. My first landy experience, not including my Disco years, was in a Series II, she was ok, very rough ride on the leaf suspension but did get me interested.

Thing have changed bit since then. Defenders are now very expensive to run, 300 quid minimum insurance, 300 quid minimum VED, MOT, etc.

With a Series, 0 VED, no MOT, classic insurance about 150 a year, and Historic Vehicles can go into London, no ULEZ charge.

I would happily spend my takeaway budget on her

Hi and welcome!

I tried looking up an ex recently. A V8 90 CSW, but it is SORN’d with the last MoT is 2011. I didn’t tell Mrs K i had done so, she wouldn’t be too please. One mistress is enough...

Good luck with your search, whether you go for the ex or another one.
