There's a few lanes I've seen on the map around Long Mynd.

Has anybody been up them, who can give me an idea of how hard they are (I have a standard discovery 300ti, with BFG ATs), and whether they're still open and legal?

Any info on lanes in the area is much appreciated.

(I've googled them quite a bit, but only found about three threads on this site, and not a great deal of info).

Cheers.

Most of the lanes on the Long Mynd have been resurfaced and are good even for a four wheel drive estate car.

yup, hardly entertaining any more.

there is a thread at the top of the section called "how to find greenlanes"

give it a read.

Or even a freelander, should be no issues for a disco.

As BGB said take a look at the finding green lanes thread as its very informative.

Nice and smooth now just right for a freelander.
And this one ends at the Bridges pub (well sort of)

I have to say even though the lanes are now smooth they are still worth a visit, as the views west across the valley towards Wentnor, the Stiperstones, and on a clear day Snowdon are worth it .
And all that fresh air is good for you:)
