I had a problem with a binding brake so changed the caliper and hose. It still ran much hotter than the other three brakes (150C vs 40C) so put on another new caliper and hose. This appears to have done the trick in that the temperatures each side are roughly the same, to within 10C or so which seems good enough.
I vacuum bled the new caliper and hose with the piston pushed all teh way back. I then use Blackbox to run the ABS pump while I sucked out some more fluid on the off chance there was something in the works causing the bind. Now the pedal has a lot of travel. The brakes work fine but the pedal ends up very close to the floor indeed on maximum push and this is not right.
Does anybody have any ideas?
