On my 2002 110 hard top the front doors are push button with long key locks like the ign key. The rear door us lift up handle and shirt key/lock and tge fuel cap a different key again with a short key lock.
My question is can they be changed or upgraded to a one key system or is it just what it is and live with it.

Thanks in advance
Gary.

The doors and fuel cap [not ignition] would have all opened with one key when new so it is possible but is it worth the hassle? Much dismantling/fettling front doors the issue.

Yes. It’s called swapping it for a Discovery of some kind. HTH :)

I cannot see how. The vehicle to my mind is really original. The fronts and ign would agreeable have been 1 key but the rear lock is a short lock and looks original with the lift up handle
A couple of the locks are a bit iffy and the pass foor looks new handle etc but it's a different key than the drivers door/ign.
Worth the bother? Well if I'm going to change a couple I'd rather they were all the same again if possible.

The Safari door should use the same type of key as the doors and fuel cap. If your safari door is using a Series style lock then it probably isn’t original.

Just take a look at a LR parts shop online. You’ll find the barrels and keys available. I think in most cases while you can change the barrel in the fuel cap the cap is not designed to come apart. So you’ll have to break it to dismantle it and repair it to reassemble.

Central locking kits also available as another option. But not for Series style locks.
