I have 2004 Freelander Sports which is great car. However I have had a problem for months now that I try and ignore which is whilst driving I can just hear the door locking mechanism trying to lock themselves. The doors don't actually lock, but it sounds like they are trying. When I operate the manual door lock rocker switch on the drivers door the doors all lock and then a moment later unlock. The car can be locked when leaving it parked.
My suspicions are a faulty micro switch on one of the door locks possible the drivers door where the key turn switch operates, but thought it would be worth asking if anyone has experienced this fault.
Any clues ?
