Help, I have a problem with the n/s/f door lock on my 03 td5. When I unlock the car all the doors unlock apart from this one, if I pull the internal handle it will open and it will lock with the others . I thought it could be an actuator , but if it were this would it still lock ? Any ideas please???

You have two actuators lock and unlock and that's the one that has failed, a common problem for the D2 so there's a few threads on the subject, which you will find with the search facilty.:)

Bottom line is a replacement lock is required.:(

dont bother to search too much...replace the actuator, or if you are handy do that(starting from post nr.7 Door lock actuator Rebuilt - Land Rover Forums : Land Rover and Range Rover Forum the internals are the same regardless of the actuator's position

Thanks for your replies, I think for easyness I'll replace the actuator. I haven't priced a new one yet (if they are available), but have seen some on ebay for about £40. Is this about right, and how long does it take to change?

Thanks for your replies. I got a new actuator from the dealers for £70 (not bad for brand new against £45 from ebay!). I followed the excellent link to change it and job done, only to find my battery is now dead. It was old and jack frost finally got it, the joys of Landrover ownership I guess!
