Maybe someone out there will be able to shed some light on this little problem.

I have an 89 (F) 3.5 auto Range Rover and have lost my reverse lights. i've been told it's possibly either the 3in1 switch quit or it's a loose connection on the reverse light part.

According to my local rocket scientist (who of course wants to charge me loads) and the happy Haynes manual claim on the left hand side of the transmission tunnel there is a cover plate.... Where is it??????????

I've removed the carpet, sound deadening etc and there is no panel.

Is there something I'm missing or is the panel there but i'm missing it let me know plz

Hi Charlotte,
I own an 87 D plate 3.5efi Auto Rangie, and the only cover plates on the gearbox tunnel are where the gearstick levers poke through. The plastic console will need to be removed first, then you will see the panels. These are pop riveted in place but can easily be drilled out and re-fixed.
The only other option is from underneath, probably quicker but messy.

Good Luck
