is it posssible to fit disc brakes to a series three lightweight? Is there a kit available thanks

I don't think so, you'd have to change the axles but that would give you a whole set of new problems. Why would you want to fit disk brakes anyway, it's not like they are fast vehicles and well set up drums are better than you'd expect. My lwb station wagon brakes are very impressive. They will stop just as well as disks would but need a bit more foot pressure.

I do sometimes hanker after disks, usually when we are decending a long hill fully laden, but if you follow the LR drving handbook and decend on the gears not the brakes its OK.

The Heystee kit claims to be reversible back to std as it requires no mods, but at around £1000 for the front alone once you add in the 2nd hand parts you need with the kit its a lot. I think the Santana servo is a reasonable comrpomise.
