When you press browse and select a pic it sometimes takes a few moments to upload and resize before you get the thumbnail or full-size option.

Now I'm confused? I don't need to press upload, just select a photo and it uploads and resizes

Just to check....
Don't use the picture icon in the toolbar at the top of the reply box but the green button labelled "upload a file" next to "post reply"
