Hi guys, recently bought a Disco Landmark TD5 and noticed the last couple of days a fogging inside the lens on the passenger side. Contacted guy who I bought from and he said they tend to do that after heavy rain and that there's not allot he can do about it as they don't have seals as such. Also get something similar in the two fog lamps.

Now have had this prob before with a volvo and it only got worse with time. Am I getting correct info?

Yes, thats correct.

LR released an official document for use by dealers, when people brought thier cars back in complaining about " steamed up headlights ".

It shows pictures of what is acceptable and what is,nt.

If you have a small amount on the front lens, ( about 25% ), then this is normal.

On later light units, LR modified the 3 breathers on the rear of the light to help with this.

Be aware though, that some lights, " just fog up ", really badly, and have to be replaced.

Yeah, any more that that would be too much for me, and, ( if my memory serves me correctly ), thats about the maximum that LR alowed before they replaced them.

You must remember that we have just had some warm weather followed be some cold weather and lots of rain. This will not help with condensation.

Keep an eye on it, and if it gets worse, you can inspect, ( and possibly remove ) the breathers on the rear of the light units.

Cheers.

If you get any " truck " from your dealer, get back to me, and I should be able to get the LR document showing whats " accepable fogging " for these lights.
