I'm gonna use 3m sticky foam to save drilling the bodywork, don't want holes if I decide to take them off

I was thinking of doing this, let me know how you get on and if they fall off!

Mine were stuck on with sticky foam from new (I have the original sales invoice) by the Land Rover dealer.
Fifteen years later, when I first got the car, I took them off and can confirm that they were definitely not going to fall off - a couple of the light guards had been damaged, but this had done nothing to make the brackets any less securely attached to the bodywork.
If the foam's decent quality, I doubt very much you'll have any problems...

just a thought, your rears cant really fall off as the brackets are held on by the tailgate straps
