Well after a forced lay off of work for 5 weeks the time came to roll up the sleeves and pull the proverbial finger out...
today has seen the 300 tdi dropped in on the forklift... suspended whilst I measured , re-measured and made the engine mounts (used to be a v8) the r380 sits on a normal 300 disco x member to give me a reference point



also had enough time to spray the new hinges and trial fit the doors.... the body lift meant it was a case of fingers crossed n hope but the panel gaps turned out perfect... prob better than when landrover did it lol....



tomorrow will be doors back off, prep n spray and if time make all the new brake lines... all in all a fun weekend

looking good, why did you ditch the v8?

economics the v8 was in superb condition as it had been pampered from new but 15 mpg on fossil @ £1.40 a litre or 30mpg on veg oil @ 70p a litre, afraid cost overruled the heart....
