Hi all should the headlight adjuster switch light up with the lights on 2004 facelift model

No - it doesn't light up at all - bloody stupid LandRover logic.

A switch you only need at night - is the only one with no internal bulb.

Oops, sorry I'm wrong - it's not the only one - one of the door arm-rest switches is the same - the one for isolating the passenger windows I think.
