Hi all, not sure if this thread will be of use to anyone, but I thought it might be worth posting.
I had a pair of new 7” Wipac LHD headlamps for my series 3, which came with a job lot of parts and had a couple of RHD lenses with them, also Wipac. So, being a bit tight, I though it might be worth trying to swap the lenses over to give me RHD lamps.
So, here we go....
LHD dip shown on the glass lens.

Split the LHD lenses away from the reflectors with no damage and cleaned the sealant residue off.

There is a small slot cut into the reflector which suits the LHD lens. To make the RHD fit, I need to create the same slot on the other side of the reflector to suit the RHD lens. Obviously, if you do this wrong the headlamp beam will be a bit wonky, so I made a template up...

The next thing to do is to cut the slot and check the fit, which looks fine. Used some high modulus sealant and sat the RHD lens in.

Fitted some new bulbs, bulb seal, securing rings and buckets. Looks good to me. I just hope they work as good as they look!
