Howdo all

Has anyone fitted one of these kits to their defender ?
If so please let me know how you got on :D
LAND ROVER DEFENDER ELECTRIC WINDOW CONVERTER KIT BRAND NEW 2 YEAR WARRANTY | eBay

The one thing i would like to do is change from standard windows to electric as i find the winder sticks in my knee when im driving
and as im doing a rebuild I thought I might as well have a look at doing it once the doors etc are back from the paint shop

Thanks all for the advice

Certainly looks the business! I cant remember if it was on here or LR4x4 but someone used vectra electric window motors on the defender mechanism, all depends on what you want to spend.

Don't know if it's the same kit but I have electric windows on my 90, already fitted when I bought it, work well and is different.

I would like to do the same and there is a package at the brit guys here I might grab.

I think its rather convenient especially if it starts to rain and you have to pull over to roll up the passenger with the manual ones.

not fitted "that" type of kit, but fitted a universal kit about 30-40 quid off the bay.
had it fitted a couple of years and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, touch wood,,,,,,,,,,,,, not had any problems.
run em through carling technoligy switches mounted in a mud console, and fitted mesh speaker covers over the holes left in the door after removing the winders.

I think one of the reasons why the conversion kits will last is that the windows are fairly light and there is next to no resistance when they are rolled up.

Thanks to all the gaps and lossnees of Landy tolerances everywhere LOL
