Well after buying a 2000 V8 from a small trader specialising in Land Rovers I was pretty disappointed to find the front sunroof leaking at the first sign of rain - buyer beware. Still waiting for a response from the trader.
Anyway, I wipped out the headlining - quite easy took about 1.5 hours and found one of the front sunroof plastic drain nipples which the drain tube pushes onto had fatigue off the plastic box section. I simply glued the drain back on. Sealed round with silicon sealant and allowed it to set. I then pushed the pipe back on carefully and sealed from the pipe over the earlier sealant - lots of sealant! I also put plenty of sealant around the other three drain tubes so that they were all supported with sealant. After checking with a hose that there were no more leaks I replaced the headlining after cleaning all the plastic trim parts. I've now got a leak free Disco that looks like it has just come from the factory.
Oh, and I aslo found that Fred on the production line had never connected up the tweeter in the N/S A pillar trim because is mate Jim had not left enough cable from the dash ! I cut out and soldered in more cable and connected it up for the first time since it left the factory.
