Hello all wise members of the LZ

My '03 Freelander Td4 was not used for a while, as we have a little quad bike to nip about on when weather is good.

My brother, who has recently come back to work for us, borrowed the Freelander two days in a row, and complained that it was underpowered and thought something was wrong.

I used it yesterday, and pulling a trailer with a three piece suite in it (helping moving house), I had to change down to 1st to go up a hill. It is a very steep hill, but was a little surprised. Used it once today, parked it up outside my parents place, and there is a drip mark on their drive, just in front of the rear drivers wheel.

It smells like creosote, which I did smell .yesterday, but the electricity people have been replacing poles around the roads, so I thought was that.

Any ideas. Cant get a good look at it until I get it home.....but worried to drive it back!

Fuel pump and filter mounted in this location, filter or pump would be my first items to check.
