Do you mean the level plug on the diff is rusted in?

It cannot be rusted in tight. You unscrew it with a 1/2 inch socket drive. With a ratchet it should come out no problem. If the oil level is not at the hole it needs topping up with EP90. It takes 1.75 litres, but if you're leaking oil you need to do the seals. Do not run it with low oil levels; if you trash the differential that's expensive. You also need to replace the hub oil seal, not the paper drive flange on the outside, the one inside the hub, that's why its leaking down the inside of the tyre. I'd get the flange oil seals anyway they cost diddly. The cost of the parts is cheap. It's an easy job by jacking up and putting the axle on stands. You'll need the torque settings. If you do not have the tools or confidence an independant garage that knows Landy's will do this job at a reasonable price. Good luck.

You can put oil in through end on axle when driveshaft out. But thats a bit silly. Its a last resort if your filler plug wont shift but a power bar would shift it I bet.
