My 1992 200Tdi is leaking diesel out of the plastic tube on the sender unit beyond the two fuel pipe nuts i.e. not from the connection, but it seems from the plastic pipe itself next to the fuel tank.
The leak is slow, but needs seeing to. I don't want to take the unit off until I know I can mend it, but need to know if it is fixable before I buy a new unit.

Am I being a numpty and this pipe is not part of the unit, or is it an integral bit and not fixable?

And, finally, is it possible to remove / replace the unit with the fuel tank in situ, or do I need to go the whole hog and remove the tank? Haynes manual is ambiguous about this.

Ta!

Have a look at some pics of fuekl tank and senders on ebay
From memory i think the sender comes out of the top so should be painless to do.

thanks for the reply
I should have specified 110 as sender comes out of the side, awkwardly near chassis.
Also, pictures I have found are not quite clear enough!

Ah sorry i know nothing of the 110 model.
Maybe this will help?
