Hello all
First time I've posted here. I've recently acquired a 1974 Series 3 SWB station wagon, 2.25 petrol. It's leaking fuel from the union at the carb side of the fuel pump. I've been careful not to overtighten it but after a certain point the tighter it goes the more it leaks when I hand pump. I've replaced the fuel line from the pump to the carb in the hope it was a damaged thread or nipple on the line. Sadly still the same. So I'm assuming now that the thread in the pump body is damaged. Before I replace the pump grateful for views on whether this is likely to be the answer, or have I missed something else obvious?
Any advice appreciated, thanks
Jerry
