Sadly selling my range rover, it has a landi multi point lpg system fitted that is currently not working, but only needs a new map sensor and service
I have just fitted, a full service kit, including plugs leads etc, new water pump, new rad, new air springs on front, rears are not old, new eas timer relay, also had the becm overhauled, mot dec, tax july, a few scuffs etc it's an r reg car but has personal plate ideal for someone called graham (as was the last owner) only 110k grey leather seats, great car, will be very sad to see it go, £2500 ovno

It spells Fiagra which many find amusing!
or it can be f1 4 GRA which is good it your name is fiona and your partner is graham or if your name is graham and your an f1 fan!
the plate is worth a grand according to a few websites I tried but obviously the right person might want it enough to pay more, there must be someone in f1 called graham who'd be interested!

So "F14 FRA" is a personal plate, now "A1" or "JB007" is a different matter, Jimmy Tarbuck has COM1C (COM 1C) first used on an old Commer Husky Van, so i understand if my memory serves me correctly.

Personally I never pay extra for a motor with a so called personal plate, if you want to sell it take off the vehicle and sell it separately.

Why not get the LPG fixed..

I been trying, need a new map sensor which is 40 pounds I just got to find someone to sort it out, but I'm keeping the car anyway for now unless I get someone interested who'll pay a decent price, I don't mind keeping it as it's a nice car and I don't need the money at the moment

nice for some

I don't mean I am rich! far from it, it's just the only reason I was selling it was because I got the mrs a car and we already had my van so we couldn't afford 3 vehicles, but now she decided to give up driving so I flogged her car and just have the rr and van now, Ideally I'd still have to sell the rangey as we can't really afford that and the van and my van is far too useful to sell, but I would not let the rangerover go for pennies, it's got to be worth over 2k as it's done very little miles etc, even crappers go for over 2k on fleabay, and with a new map sensor for the lpg it's got to be worth even more, I just don't have the skill to sort it and don't know anyone else that does either, and I don't have the cash to take it to an lpg place, for the amount of miles I do it's not worth it as I only do about 20 miles a week if that in the car!

Why would anybody buy a car with no wheels?.

someone might have some of their own!?? but yes I see your point!!! ok 2500 ono with the wheels and my new improved grill!!

Note to all watchers of this topic!
I can't be arsed with number plate paperwork either now, so The car is NOW ONLY £2500 ovno as it is, come and see it for yourself!

Half shaft oil seal has started leaking on longer journeys, I have the seal just not the time/skill to fit it, so I just need to sell and cut my losses now, 2k or near offer, mot till dec tax till july grab a total bargain

Just found this thread......I bought this car a couple of weeks ago...
Gas still not working and still has silly plate..Good car though. Bills for new front diff and hubs so I guess the mention of hub seals leaking wasnt acted on..
dont know much about the lpg......all seems to be there apart from some electrical part (there is a multi pin socket just hanging there) and no ON switch.
Im in Spain and taking it to Eastern Europe so would really like to get the LPG sorted out.
Is the ECU thing just plug and play? Not many gas people out here so nobody nearby to take it to.
I have just bought some manifold gaskets for it ....chuffs a bit when cold..and a set of plugs. it seems fine and for 1150 E Im happy with it.
Ant ideas on prices to sort the lpg out or any advice on owning one of these?
Cheers

Hi there
I did do the half shaft oil seals in the end it was the rear that leaked a bit
I would love that plate back it's not silly if your name is graham and you like f1! the car was my best mates who sadly passed away it was his pride and joy, I got it after he passed and it had been left a while, it was in a sorry state I spent a lot of time and money on it sorting the immobiliser and electrics new water pump, I put new plugs in it so they don't need doing, new ht leads, etc all done just before I sold it, I had lpg looked at and it's got something missing I can't remember what it's called but you can see I think 2 or 3 wires with nothing on the end, that's needed I just couldn't get one, the system is quite rare as it's landi Renzo I think it's Italian, I was quoted a few hundred to get it all running and serviced which is pretty cheap but I just had no money left for it, apart from the lpg the car was perfect when I sold it but I still got bad feedback because they said the car needed a new diff and brakes after 2 weeks of having it off me, this was a shock to me as it had just passed mot and had a good service, there were no whines or faults so I could not foresee the diff/brakes going wrong,
I regret selling the car actually as it had sentimental value but at the time I couldn't afford to keep it, I'm very pleased you like it as I say it had been my friends pride and joy and mine as well I spent a fortune in time and cash on it, I put new suspension bags etc in as well, that suspension was brilliant and so was the car, it's a shame you don't like the plate I would have loved to have kept that but i'm not good with all that paperwork and stuff! if you need to know any more get in touch,, did you buy it off ebay? shame I didn't see it on there I'd have had a bid!
