My late dads series 2 (non-military) 88" was fitted with a pair of very useful galvanized lashing rings on its front bumper, like a large vertical 'D' with its round profile facing forwards. Picking up on the 2 dumb iron/bumper securing bolts and 2 bolts through the bumper itself. They proved very useful for a number of tasks & complemented the capstan winch also fitted very nicely, but never used for serious pulling as they are considered lashing rings. I noticed the military bumper on my 90 (also non-military) has 2 extra holes drilled just ahead of the dumb iron/bumper securing bolts as per my dads series 2 & I suspect are there for the fitting of the same lashing rings - but I can find no pics of a 90/110 with these fitted? I am missing this facility on my Landy & wondered if anyone had fitted them to their Landrover. I appreciate the grill will need to be trimmed, but other than that they look as if they would fit. If anyone out there has any info on this it would be welcomed. Ta.
