Now that it has been done and we've all seen how it worked out, how about making it an annual event?

The site worked well for most as far as I could see, what do others think? most of the initial problems were overcome and a few more bells & whistles could be added if the desire was there.

I'd be up for it

I voted but was not able to attend. If it was closer I may have made it so a North then South location annually rotated may be worth considering. Maybe add a boxing ring to settle the odd differences of opinion.

Sounds like a plan -in theory - I guess only Accy and Roy will be able to judge if it's a financially viable project ... no good running it as a loss , if it's costing someone somewhere.
Most Landy Forums seem to have an annual bash ..

voted, as already said only if its viable.
circumstances didnt permit me to attend on this occasion, even tho i had intended to participate.

Like the north and south alternate idea, though it wasn't too bad getting to the event. Real easy for some and a little harder for the Yorkist who decided that it was off junction 15 and not 19 hahaha. ;) ;)

Perhaps next time a printed schedule of events as we missed out in the photo cos we thought they were all off laning, and we missed it as we had anchored the tent to the landy. Lol

Can I just say thank you to the organisers and helpers. You did a fab job. It was a great way to camp and we shall definitely be doing it again, only next time I shall invest in a better bed to sleep on! Go on! Gloat chef, you know you want to! ;) it was nice to meet in person peeps that I know on here, some unfortunately as we called for a cup of tea and to say goodbye.

Were home, and aching but happy.

Thanks again and I hope you all have a safe journey home.

didn't even get my stew and dumplings :( but yes
every year sounds great, plus I am happy with the same location as easy to get to if you take the correct junction :) :behindsofa:

Would have come if I had been a member for abit longer. Don't know anyone yet. ( also defender is not finished yet) Did anyone drive up to this event from the southwest. Somerset area or further? Can't say I have ever driven 170 miles in one trip in a defender. Lol.
If there was a south, north switch each year would the next event bee further south than this one or north? It seam like a central location at the moment to me.

Not knowing anyone ..could be an advantage :D
I think the location is probably fairly central ....we went to the peaks for the bouncing Bakewell run ....from west Cornwall ....nowhere is too far to go in a Landy lol. If Mr Muds had been here , we would have defo come ...but I didn't want go on my own.

Keep at it, it is quite possible, just turn the stereo up, stop every few hours for a walk around, and you will get anywhere in time :D

Often used to drive to Scotland in a series when we were on forestry work.
And Ive been to Carlisle, Cambridge and Surrey in my 90 towing a cattle trailer :D

We'll next time and as long as my defender is on the road by then I will defo make the trip. Would be good to travel up with a few other people.
Does the club ever do mini meets for local people? Ie if ya in somerset or local meet up for a cuppa chat look at each other motors etc.? Used to do this with a vauxhall club I was part of. Pizza Hut was a good one to go to in bridge water.
Depends what people think. Or I have missed a thread in this forum. Lol

It's a big 'yes' from me! Great site with easy access and the cleanest festival loo's I have ever pee'd in
