hi, I was looking at fault code readers on eBay, you can get them for around £20.00. Has anyone ever bought one, are they a waste of money. I got an engine fault this morning in the damp. It cleared later by itself, I've read it can do this because ecu will not check certain things, but will log it in the history. Just wanting to check codes myself.

Afaik, the Disco 3 is fully OBDII compliant, so there should be a far greater choice of code readers available than for the Disco 2.
Whether or not a cheaper code reader will communicate with all of the ECUs on the disco 3, I'm sorry but I haven't got a clue.

wow, that looks good, like the iPad linking. Little expensive but you get what you.pay for. My car has a year warranty so looking for something a little cheaper to back up what they are saying. I did many repairs on my d2 so will one to go in my basket at some point. Cheers.
