Dear All,

I have a 1975 Land Rover series 3 and first registered in the UK in 1985. It is a military vehicle. The registration number is UFC 211P. The ERM number is 58GF49. The chassis number is 91126752C

I am very curious about its history. I wonder if someone could help me please

Thank you in advance.

Yes, first remove the chassis and registration numbers from your post. One can ring a Land Rover with these details!

For more detailed history contact the MOD Merlin team and under freedom of information act they'll forward you all the recorded history they have + post the MOD reg# and ECM# on the Military Land Rover Facebook page...there's a lot of knowledgeable folk there https://www.facebook.com/groups/5193363398

Have just searched my Merlin copies and there's no record of 58GF49...

Of interest is that your 1975 SIII is 58GF49, and my 1987 Ninety is 57KG22

eta, whatever you do don't respray your SIII - she looks fantastic as is!

Thank you very much for your really helpful response. I have joined the Facebook page.

I am not sure of what your comment means regarding the ERM number?
