K 1.8 2001 freelander feels like it lacks fuel or a cylinder or two when i put the foot down from stop .changed coil packs plugs what next any ideas please

Are you sure it's not running correctly?
Is the MIL on?
Don't forget the 1.8 has only 118 bhp so isn't exactly blessed with massive acceleration.
Try a few 0 to 60 acceleration runs against a stop watch. It should be around 13 seconds

lolNodge68 we engine light comes on i've got a we code reader thing it tells me no code found so i just reset light off.i know take it to a garage but i like to mess about myself.

If are getting a MIL event, you should be getting a fault code.

Do a compression test. The 1.8 suffers from burnt exhaust valves. That's what was wrong with mine when I got it.

You really need to find out what that code is. Just going through fault codes myself and replacing breaking down sensors.

Could be anything from engines worn, sensor is breaking down, fuel filter blocked, air filter, plugs

Have you taken the plugs out and checked there colour, do a compression test since there coming out.

I have two programmes on my PC and sometimes 1 of them doesn't show the fault code only that the light is on
