I have a 2003 5 door TD4 bought about 6 weeks ago I have been fixing various faults but don't seem to be able to get enough power out of it.
Before I bought it the turbo hoses had been changed as had the injectors, I have changed the MAF sensor the MAP sensor and the turbo boost solenoid cleaned all th block connectors to the sensors.
I have also used a dose of cataclean and using millers and 2 stroke in every fill there has been some improvement but it still seems lacking in low down power.
i have read that the freelander is gutless and needs the sinergy II to make it go well but just how gutless is it when standard, I have a friend who used to own a TD4 and towed a horse box with 2 large horses in it I don't think mine could tow that much weight and is pretty hopeless on a slight incline with me having to drop down the gears where the Skoda this replaced would fly up in top gear.
