Hi All,
I read an article in the Freelander Forum, which described a at lack of power problem at 70 MPH, which the writer of the article traced back to a faulty Turbo Boost Solenoid.
I have had the turbo hose split and black smoke, no power gremlin before this is not the case.
The car loses power and wont let me over 50 MPH on hills when I am towing a caravan.
When I press the accelerator pedal to try and increase the speed the engine revs really loud, and sound like a vacuum cleaner which sounds damaging. I take foot of the accelarator and coast up the hill. The hills are not particularly steep hills, I am not trying to do the impossible, but prefer to take hills at 50-55 MPH, this problem drops me to 40 MPH which is embarrasing caravan 1400Kg fully laden which is well within the towing capacity of 2000 Kg for the Freelander TD4.
Any one out there got any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks All
Keith
