Hi, my wife managed to smash the n/s wing mirror yesterday she said a branch hit it. Anyway i have managed to find a unit of ebay but was wondering how easy it is to replace bearing in mind it is electric.

Anyone got the process.

SUE THE TREE!!!!.... & if the Tree won't co-operate SUE THE OWNER Highway code states "Trees/Branches should NOT encroach on Public footpaths or roadways" ...

Tek it to LR (Thru yer Ins) get it fixed ..... & then get em to do ALL the other little Niggley faults as well ( Coz ..."It Wernt like that when I brought it in Gov'nor")

SORTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeh problem is i already bought a replacement off ebay so would prefer to fit myself. So is it a difficult job to DIY.

Just gone to have a look at mine.

Looks a nightmare job to replace the entire unit.

If it's only the glass/housing that's damaged then it shouldn't be too bad. You have to careful not to break the plastic locating tabs when removing and fitting the bit that surrounds the glass (been there, done that)

If I were you, I'd take it to an approved Land Rover garage (not a dealer) and ask them to fit for you.

Good luck!
