Evening folks,
We’ve taken in an old 2003 L322 HSE which has fitted TV in both front and back. The system has been updated to digital.
Been a sad gadget’s freak i would like to get it working but on turning on I just get a yellow exclamation mark.
Any ideas what is wrong?
Cheers.

Water ingress in left rear quarter where the electronics reside is a common problem.

So they have updated the display but they may not have replaced the TV tuner which is in the rear left quarter. I would still expect the old analogue unit to work just with no sound or picture.
The BMW unit may not even support TV but now it's not standard I have no idea how you can get it working.

It’s annoying as it doesn’t switch off except with the ignition.
Managed to obtain an original display but have no idea how to fit it.
Guessing it’s a complete dashboard strip down.

Are you saying it's stuck on TV and you can't switch to the other functions like radio or CD?
And yes I believe it's a dash out, there are youtube videos showing how to remove it.

Very likely. I’ve got a hybrid box for the other RR which plugged straight in so I’ll try it with that. But the original screen needs to go in as the rear screens don’t work.

To remove the head unit, you will start at the sill plates and work towards it. I'm not joking either.

Not actually that bad though.

I’d forgotten to mention that this other screen doesn’t show any settings for the FBH. Is there a work around as I’ll be up in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 this coming winter - brrr 🥶.

Park heating has to be enabled in the ccf for it to show on the screen.

Car configuration file (I think). Basically the reference for it to know what is installed.

What engine do you have? Only fitted to Diesels unless selected as an option.

This is the link to when I did mine. @kds solution of using the Vellman 2 channel remote is much better but I'd already bought the kit to do it my way. Yours may work slightly differently as I have the touch screen but I suspect the remote start is the same.
