Hi All! Its been a while since I was last on work and now a wife seems to have taken its toll! lol
Anyway I have a problem with my range... its a 2005 td6 and in turn LR style its giving me some S#@T!
The problem Im having is some mornings when I go out to it, she wont move. I select drive and she just revs as if she hasn't selected gear correctly. Then when I put it back into park I hear a horrible grinding noise from the trasferbox. The little green mountain starts to flash and thats it. No matter how long you leave it it wont go in unless you roll her in Nutral down the road for about 30 meters and then she drops in gear when selected.
First port of call was to change the oil in both the gearbox and the transferbox. No result
So then I had it plugged in and the only fault this came up was "noise on motor signal" for the transferbox.
Ive done a little digging and found a potentiometer fault some people have found but none of the symptoms are the same.
Has Anyone Ever Had This Or Have Any Idea What The Cause Could Be Before I Start Trying To Locate Parts?
Thanks
Drew
