Hi Does anybody know where I could buy a new sponge seat base for my L322 as mine has done the usual and no longer supports on the side that you enter and exit the seat . I am looking for a supplier other than the main dealer . Thanks.

I can answer my own question . There must be a lot of L322 out there now with sagging seat bases . I bought a new seat base from the main dealers (yes you did hear right) for £45 including vat . In the LRO International mag issue 7 2011 they show you how to fit it (ok its a dico 3 but that near enough) . I also found out that the other trait of L322 the wrinkly drivers door inside handle can also be bought for about the same price as the seat base which is a bit cheaper than a complete door panel from the breakers if you can get one in your colour that is...

useful info. mine's got exactly the same fault and was wondering how to rectify it without running up a debt larger than Greece's :p
Are the heating elements moulded into the sponge base or are they underneath it?

The seatbase sponge doesn't have the heating element moulded into it . I can't workout how to post the scan into this reply but if you send an email to glensouk@hotmail.com I will send it too you by reply. One other tip I was given was make sure you disconnect the battery because of the seat airbag . Cheers Glen
